{FREE eBook} The 4 Seasons of Marriage: Secrets to a Lasting Marriage

Right now, you can get the Kindle version of The 4 Seasons of Marriage: Secrets to a Lasting Marriage by Gary Chapman for FREE on Amazon. I haven't read this book, but it is rated 4 1/2 stars. This would be a great Christian book to add to your reading list.

Book Description:

Spring, summer, winter, fall. Marriages are perpetually in a state of transition, continually moving from one season to another—perhaps not annually, as in nature, but just as certainly and consistently. Sometimes we find ourselves in winter—discouraged, detached, and dissatisfied; other times, we experience springtime with its openness, hope, and anticipation. On other occasions, we bask in the warmth of summer—comfortable, relaxed, enjoying life. And then comes fall with its uncertainty, negligence, and apprehension. The cycle repeats itself many times throughout the life of a marriage, just as the seasons repeat themselves in nature.

The seasons of marriage come and go. Each one holds the potential for emotional health and happiness, and each one has its challenges. The purpose of this book is to describe these recurring seasons of marriage, help you and your spouse identify which season your marriage is in, and show you how to enhance your marriage in all four seasons.

If you don't have a Kindle, you can also get a free Kindle reading app for your Android, iPhone, iPad, PC, Blackberry or Windows Phone.

Please check the price before you download, as Amazon prices can change at any time.

Books to Read in January 2013

One of my top 6 priorities for 2013 is to focus on self development. One goal in this area is to read at least one book per week or 4 per month. I love to read, but it is something I haven't had much time to do in the last few years. Each month, I will be selecting books to read during the month and will post them here on the blog.

Since I have the Kindle app on my iPhone (which is free if you don't use it already), it is easy for me to read when I have a few minutes downtime. I am also going to plan ahead, and reserve copies of the books I want to read at the library to save on the cost of books.

Here are the books I plan to read in January:

The Air I Breathe: Worship as a Way of Life

Love Does: Discover a Secretly Incredible Life in an Ordinary World

The Heart of Simplicity: Foundations for Christian Homemaking

Redemption

Unglued: Making Wise Choices in the Midst of Raw Emotions

In the Shadow of the Banyan: A Novel

I love to read fiction, so I am going to go out on a limb this year and focus on reading more non-fiction books. I feel like these books will give me a good variety of fiction and non-fiction and will also help me to grow spiritually.

What books are you planning to read in January?
