FREE Printable: 8x10 I'll Love You Forever Print (Personalize for Your Child)





Good morning! I have a new freebie for you this morning. The 8x10 "I'll Love You Forever" Wall Print is inspired by one of my favorite children's books: Love You Forever by Robert Munsch. My mom used to read this book to me when I was a little girl and we would sing the song from the book every night. I now sing the song to my kids, so it has a special place in my heart. If you haven't read the book yet, it is a great story about unconditional love passed from generation to generation and I would highly recommend it.

I have two versions for you, a pink and green chevron background for a little girl's room and a blue and green chevron background for a boy's room. If you want to personalize these with your child's name, you can download the jpg and then edit in PicMonkey (free photo editing site).

You can send the file to a professional printer to print (i.e. Walgreen's, Shutterfly, etc) or you can print at home on letter size card stock and trim to 8x10 size.

FREE Printable: Chalkboard Style Pantry Labels



I am a sucker for labels. I have a label maker, but I get bored with just plain labels. I created these Chalkboard Style Pantry Labels for my own pantry and thought I would share with you.

There are two pre-filled Chalkboard Style Pantry Label sheets available for download. To download, just save to your computer and print. I like to use Avery® White Full-Sheet Labels for Inkjet Printers (keep in mind you won't want to get the labels wet) or you may also use white letter size card stock and either laminate and attach or tape on your canisters.

If you would like to create your own labels, you can download the blank version and edit using a program like PicMonkey. With the blank version, you could create labels for anything in your home!

Menu Plan: Week of 7/22


Time to get back to meal planning! Here is my meal plan for the week:

Breakfast (served with fruit and milk):

Zucchini Muffins (Freezer)
Waffles
Banana Pancakes (Freezer) *I substituted APF for Whole Wheat Flour
Breakfast Burritos (Freezer)
Green Smoothies *This site has a chart that gives you options about what to put in your smoothie!

Lunch (served with carrots, fruit, yogurt and/or milk):

Peanut Butter, Honey, and Banana Sandwiches
Cheese and Black Bean Quesdaillas

Free Printable: A Cook's Prayer


I haven't been regularly posting here on Reorganized Simplicity because I have been busy getting my new Etsy shop, Pamela Renee Printables, up and running. I am designing printables for parties, wall art, and more (and as a personal plug, if you have a design need for your child's party or have an idea for wall art, I would love to create a custom order for you). The Lord has greatly blessed me and my shop has been doing well. One of my goals is to begin providing some FREE printables here for you.

When a friend asked me to create wall art from A Cook's Prayer that she found, I knew that this would be perfect to share! What a great reminder that in EVERYTHING that we do, we need to praise God and look to him in prayer. As a stay-at-home mom, I sometimes forget that God has called me to this wonderful job and that even something as small as the ability to bake bread is a gift from Him.

Homemade Bubbles and Pipe Cleaner Wands


My 4 year old and I created a Summer Bucket List of 50 things we would like to accomplish this summer. Today, we checked another thing off the list.



Today's activity: Homemade Bubble Solution and Pipe Cleaner Wands

This activity can be done inexpensively with items that you already have in your home. I didn't have any glycerin in the house, so I was a little nervous about making bubbles that would work, but this recipe worked well and was very easy for the girls to make.

Homemade Bubble Solution Recipe
*I found this recipe on Apartment Therapy's website
  • 1/2 Cup Liquid Dish soap (Joy or Dawn work best, we used Dawn)
  • 2 Cups Water
  • 2 tsp Sugar

We took the solution outside and made our pipe cleaner wands. The wands were easy to make, you just form them into whatever shape you would like and twist to secure to the "handle". Then it was time to blow bubbles!





We discussed how even though the wands were different shapes, that the bubbles all came out in spheres. We also observed that the larger wands made bigger bubbles. The girls had a great time and we went through the entire thing of bubbles!

Our Summer Bucket List: Pretend Birthday Party


My four year old daughter and I put together a Summer Bucket List of 50 things that we would like to do this summer as a family. I tried to get her creative input as much as possible because I want the activities to be fun and engaging.

 Today, we decided that our first Bucket List activity would be to throw a Pretend Birthday Party for ourselves. We came up with a list of activities and threw ourselves a party...in our pajamas or course!

First, we baked some "cupcakes", which are really Banana Chocolate Chip Muffins from Weelicious (my favorite site for kid friendly recipes). I am trying to adapt more of a Montessori teaching style in our home, so I am trying to let the girls do all activities that they are capable of doing by themselves. I helped make the "cupcakes", but allowed them to do most of the measuring, pouring, and mixing. Baking is a great learning experience for toddlers and preschoolers. It not only allows them to practice their fine motor skills, but is also a great introduction to counting and fractions.

While we were waiting for the "cupcakes" to bake, we wrapped a pretend present using a shoebox and wrapping paper. I allowed both of them to cut the wrapping paper with their safety scissors and they taped the paper onto the box. I also had a bow and scraps of ribbon that they glued on for decoration.

Next, the girls made birthday cards with markers and stickers. I had my four year old trace Happy Birthday and she wrote her name, while my two year old just drew free form.
 
By the time they completed these activities, the "cupcakes" were ready to decorate. They each chose two candle and we put on whipped cream and sprinkles.
 
 
Finally, it was time for the party. We sang Happy Birthday, ate our "cupcakes" and unwrapped the present.

Our Summer Bucket List


I haven't posted in quite some time, but I want to share with you our plans for the summer. My eldest daughter and I came up with our summer bucket list. This is a list of 50 items that we are going to accomplish this summer. Hopefully, I will be able to share some, if not all of our completed activities.

We live in Arizona and it is HOT during the summer. I want to make sure that we don't fall into the trap of watching TV just to stay out of the heat. Hopefully on the days the day that we are bored and feeling uninspired, we can go to our list and find a few activities.

My Weekly Goals: Week of 2/25


Some weeks, we fall completely short of our goals. Last week was one of those weeks for me. My brother's wedding was last Sunday and I didn't feel well part of the week. I know that I am throwing out excuses, but sometimes we need to give ourselves a break. I have had a great start to today and even got some cleaning done yesterday so I am ahead of schedule for this week.

Last Week's GoalsGod
  • Read daily passage from One Year Bible plan and catch-up from last week (ongoing) *I am still behind, but I didn't fall further behind praise God!
  • Weekly couple devotional time with Derek (ongoing)
  • Bible lesson during preschool time
Marriage
  • Weekly couple devotional time with Derek (ongoing)
  • Schedule and have 30 minutes of quality spouse time daily
  • Give Derek a 15 minute massage *Didn't get to this again
Children
  • Spend 30 minutes one-on-one time each day with each child (ongoing)
  • Take time to respond to children even when I am in the middle of something *Still a work in progress, but I am doing much better!
  • Read to each child for 15 minutes per day. Haley and I finished our second Boxcar Children Book, so we are going to take a break and read one chapter of Winnie the Pooh each day.
Others
  • Contact my MOPS secret sister and plan a ministry activity *Still need to do this!
  • I will be open to opportunities to minister to others in need at any time that God calls me to do so. *God granted me a couple of great opportunities in this area that I was able to complete!
Self Development
  • Finish reading Prayers Of An Excellent Wife: Intercession For Him *I found that this is a book that should be read all the way through. Instead, I am reading one prayer each day so this will be ongoing
  • Start reading Remember (Redemption) *I didn't start reading this.
  • Start 42 Days to Fit program. Week 1 = no dessert *Still didn't start this. I am going to wait and see how I am feeling this week.
  • Drink 8 glasses of water a day *Still having good days and bad days in this area
Household Management
  • Keep up with my daily cleaning schedule *Fell way behind, but got caught up on Sunday
  • Complete this week's Home Challenge task
